Iceland is a like New Zealand; it’s a land of extremes; open vistas, rugged terrain, Northern Lights, all of this makes it an extremely photogenic country. UK-based photographer Andy Lee, on his first visit to the country returned home with a photo series titled “Blue Iceland”. This series captured waterfalls, mountain ranges and road in literally a whole new light. Lee converted his DSLR camera to only shoot infrared light. This allowed Lee to shoot invisible light rather than what we’re able to see with the naked eye, the resulting images are stark, moody and other worldly. These beautiful images have a painterly feel to them. Check out more of Lee’s work over on his portfolio website.
